The windows are then fully prepared and painted with our 3 Part Exterior Paint System. The windows are then pointed with traditional sand mastic. Double Glazing Upgrade

Another popular service we provide across Edinburgh Lothian’s & Borders is to upgrade sash windows with double glazing.

We offer two choices for installing double glazing

  • We can retain your original sash windows by removing the old glass and installing slim-fit double glazing into the sash windows.
    The sash windows and case are then fully renovated, painted, mastic applied and fully draught proofed.
  • We can replace the sash windows with new double-glazed sashes to match your existing sashes and install these into the existing box (case). The sash windows and case are then fully renovated, painted, mastic applied and fully draught proofed.

This service will bring them up to modern standards of draught-proofing/insulation and fully-functional working order. This service covers all works required from new sash ropes & pulleys to sash window ironmongery.
